“Why can’t a woman be more like a man?” The infamous lyrics from My Fair Lady resonate now more than ever. Women have been given the appearance of all the opportunity in the world but as we explore our options discover we don’t get to play by the same set of rules as the men.
We live in a double standard world. And we didn’t create it. Not Our Standard is an attempt to explore, reconcile and live with a set of standards we had no hand in creating. From coping mechanisms to cathartic rants, we are here on an intersectional journey as the 4th way of feminism unpacks all the ways in which women (and those that identify as such) aren’t getting a fair shot.
